TAPLEY, RETA EVELYN - of Lower Woodstock passed away at Upper River Valley Hospital on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the age of 86. Born at Nackawic, she was the daughter of the late William and Mabel (Thornton) Davidson. Reta is survived by two sons, E. Gerald McKenzie of Woodstock and Rev. Allen Tapley (Joan) of Sussex; a daughter, Valerie Denning of Lower Woodstock; one brother, Carl Davidson (Areta) of Geary; two sisters, Irene Keenan of Fredericton and Marcine Carpenter (Hazen) of Woodstock; grandchildren, Randy (Shelly) McKenzie;Rachael (Clarence) Bennett; Sarah Tapley and Gena Denning; one great-granddaughter Michelle; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Reta was predeceased by her husband, Robert Tapley; one brother, Orland Davidson; and one sister, Iris Freeman. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB , with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 pm from Saint James United Church. Rev. Fred Snyder will be officiating, with interment in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery at a later date. www.scottfh.com
