It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Alfred Benoit announce his passing at his residence in Piccadilly on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the age of 57 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Joan, one son, Rocky Benoit of Ontario, one brother, Matthias Benoit (Lorriane) of Stephenville, four sisters: Margaret Benoit of Stephenville, Hilda Benoit (Jason) of Piccadilly, Doreen Benoit of Vancouver, Mary Snow of Piccadilly, three grandchildren: Danielle, Christina, Selena and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Christina Benoit, three sisters, Evelyn Simmons, Vera Simmons and Madonna Leach. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Piccadilly on Monday, April 28th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Piccadilly with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Piccadilly. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
