It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Stephen Legge announce his passing at Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the age of 59 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Gerard (Cavell Harris) Legge, Jeffrey’s; daughter Amanda (Gordon) Shim, Missausaga, ON; extra special grandson Stephen Legge, Jeffrey’s; brothers: Issac (Genevieve) Legge, Robinson’s, Wayne (Suzanne) Legge, Brampton, ON; sisters: Delia (Tim Aucoin) Butcher, Heatherton, Lavinia (Lionel) Brown, Heatherton, Cavell (Fred Francis) Osmond, Port aux Basques; brothers-in-law: Nathan MacDonald, Port aux Basques, Austin Sheppard, Stephenville, Kernie Felix, Stephenville as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Geraldine, parents Annie and Carl Legge, three sisters, one brother, and two brothers-in-law. To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. His remains will be resting at St. George’s Anglican Church, Robinson’s, from where the funeral service will take place on sunday, April 6, 2008 at 2 pm with Rev. Gwen Butler officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Robinson’s. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accpeted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
