RONALD "RON" GEORGE DILLON
DILLON, RONALD "RON" GEORGE - The passing of Ronald "Ron" G. Dillon of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Monday, April 28, 2008 at the age of 79. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late George and Ellen (Faulkes) Dillon. Ron was a good christian and was an Electronic Engineer with the Air Force, spending the last seven years before retirement as an Engineer with Viking Helicopter. In the Air Force, he performed in a Jazz Band playing both Bass Fiddle and Trombone. An avid bird watcher, he and Doris loved to travel all across the country visiting everywhere, but Hawaii. Spending summers here in New Brunswick, they quickly became known as snowbirds, for they spent winter traveling throughout the south. One of Ron's greatest joys was being involved and spending a great deal of time with his three grandchildren. Survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Doris; beloved daughters, Joy Asher (Kevin) of Harvey, Louise Piercy (Ted), Karen Munn (Geoff) all of Fredericton; two grandchildren, David Pepin (Jennifer) of Cold Lake, Alta, Todd Piercy of Edmonton, Alta; brother-in-laws, Leonard Mansfield of Saint John, Vincent Mansfield of Toronto,Ont; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his precious grandson, Tyson Piercy. Although there will be no visitation, a funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2008 from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel at 7:00 pm, with Rev. Reg Miller officiating. Interment will be held Friday at 1:00 pm in the Hermitage Cemetery. Memorials to the Parkinson's Foundation, SPCA, or charity of one's choice would be appreciated. www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
