CASSIDY, HENRIETTA C. - The death of Mrs. Henrietta C. (McGowan) Cassidy, of Carleton Kirk Lodge occurred at her residence on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Mrs. Cassidy, formerly of Maces Bay, was the wife of the late Frederick J. Cassidy. Born in Maces Bay, she was the daughter of the late Cecelia (Brown) and John T. McGowan. Mrs. Cassidy worked at Sobey's Lancaster during the 60's and 70's. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and knitting. Mrs. Cassidy was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, the ACW and the Fundy Bay Seniors. She is survived by her son, Glendon Cassidy and his wife, Mary Lou of Oak Point; two grandchildren, Evan and Matthew; and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friend, Stuart Cowen. She was predeceased by a sister, Annie Mawhinney, and brother, Gordon McGowan. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4, 7 to 9 pm.
