HOWARD, GLADYS MARIE (MAHANEY) - The passing of Gladys Howard of the Tobique Valley Manor and formerly of Riley Brook occurred at the Tobique Valley Hospital on April 30, 2008 at the age of 84. Born on September 4, 1923 in Riley Brook she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Lillian (Hirst) Mahaney. Gladys is survived by her sister-in-law Marjorie Mason of Perth-Andover; brother-in-law Alexander (Chub) and Connie Howard of Perth-Andover. Predeceased by her parents, husband Ralph Howard, sisters Beatrice (Alfred) Ferguson, Annie (Donald) Cougle, Edith (Lewis) McAskill, brother John (Helen) Mahaney and brother-in-law Carl Mason. Visitation will be held at White's Chapel, Plaster Rock on Tuesday May 6th from 1-2 pm with memorial service to follow at 2 pm from White's Chapel with Rev. Lorne Freake officiating. Interment in the Riley Brook Community Cemetery later in the spring. Memorial donation to the Riley Brook Baptist Church, Tobique Valley Manor or Riley Brook Community Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
