DAWSON, MARGARET IRENE - The death of Margaret Irene Dawson, loving wife of John Edward Dawson, occurred on Saturday May 3, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Born 1923 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late William and Cecelia (Gadon) Madore. Margaret was an avid Bingo player, loved to go to yard sales and flea markets. The greatest love was her family. Besides her loving husband Ed of 53 years, she is survived by her sons, Kevin Dawson (Yvonne) of Dartmouth, Jeffrey Gianakos (Gail) of Saint John and Karl Gianakos (Joan) of Kelowna, BC; daughters, Wendy James (Peter) of Ontario, Judy Dawson (Larry Snow) of Saint John, Nancy Gianakos of India and Diane Gianakos of Saint John; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one brother, Richard Madore of Mass, USA; and Barbara Bouchie of Miramichi; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by infant son, Douglas Wayne Dawson; three brothers and four sisters. By request there will be no public visitations. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Tuesday May 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
