NOFTELL, EDWARD (TED) - The death of Edward Joseph Noftell, loving husband of Norma (Garland) Noftell, occurred on Monday, May 5, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Born 1927 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Harold and Mabel (Lean) Noftell. Edward worked as an Auto Body Mechanic for many years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Besides his wife, Norma, he is survived by two sons, Randy (Karen) Noftell of Quispamsis, and Troy (Christine) Noftell of Saint John; one brother, Douglas (Monique) Noftell of Saint John; five sisters, Frances Noftell, Alma Beaman, Carol Todd, Rosie Lunn and Geraldine Beaman all of Saint John; grandchildren, Michelle, Matthew, Travis, Taylor and Kaylee; several cousins, nieces and nephews and one special cousin, James Noftell. Besides his parents, Edward was predeceased by brothers, Kenneth, Ronald and Malcolm and one sister, Sandra Noftell. Following cremation visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A memorial service will be held at The Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 11 am. Interment will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens followed by a reception at Latimore Lake Community Centre.
