RICHARDS, LAURA MAE (PAULA) - The death of Laura Mae (Paula) Richards, of the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home, occurred on Saturday May 17, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1928 in Bear River, NS she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lucy (Duthridge) Crosby. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara McFarlane (Ed) of Musquash, NB and Christine Allen (Ron) of Pugwash, NS; five grandchildren, Ronnie Allen (Angie), Lonnie Allen (Tammy), Avery Allen (DJ), Shane McFarlane (Maryann) and Matthew McFarlane; eight great grandchildren; brother, Douglas Crosby of Bear River, NS; sisters, Jean Forget and Olive Lucas both of Halifax, NS; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by sister, Marion London and brother, Ken Crosby. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
