LEBLANC, ERNEST JOSEPH - Ernest J. LeBlanc, 81, of L'Etang, NB passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer, on May 15, 2008, in the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital, with his family by his side. Born on March 13, 1927, in Cap Pelé, NB, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Pélagie (Richard) LeBlanc. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 57 years, Lucille (Landry) LeBlanc; four daughters, Jeanne McLaughlin (Harry) of Baillie NB, Rose Patterson (Curtis) of Second Falls NB, Patricia LeBlanc of Hamilton ON and Louise LeBlanc (Jeff) of L'Etang NB; three sons, Ernest Jr. (Donna) of Saint John NB, Joseph (Angela) of Back Bay NB and Bernard (Beth) of Airdrie AB; four sisters, Marie Forgeron of Halifax NS, Aurore Melanson of Shediac NB, Léontine Boudreau of Cap Pelé, NB and Viola Leger of Dieppe NB; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Ernest was predeceased by two brothers, Bliss and Oswald; three sisters, Zella Babineau, Geneva Cormier and Germaine Guerrette; and son-in-law, Wayne Patterson. Ernest was a Stationary Engineer by trade, retiring from Lake Utopia Paper (Local 523) in 1988. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11569. He attended St. George's Roman Catholic Church. By request, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at 11:00 am at St. Timotheé Roman Catholic Church in Shemogue, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Charlotte County Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
