SNEEKES, MRS. EVA - of Sussex passed away on May 20, 2008 at the age of 68. Born in Holland on October 6, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine (Stet) Betjes. Eva is survived by her husband, Gerry; two daughters, Susan Sneekes of Victoria, BC and Caroline Fry (Rod) of Fredericton; her son, David Sneekes of Fredericton; four brothers, Cor Betjes (Tinie), Ton Betjes (Marjan), Kees Betjes (Loes) Jacob Betjes (Linda); three sisters, Riek Bos-Betjes (Fritz), Provincial Mother Superior Mechtild, Martha Adrichem Betjes (Roel); five grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Eva is predeceased by her brother, Nico Betjes. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held Friday from 7 to 9pm. A Celebration of Eva's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel Saturday morning at 11:00am with Jeanette Cosman officiating. Donations made to the Sussex and Area Senior Centre or The Community Serenity Garden would be appreciated by the family.
