ROSS, ELSIE LOUISE - The death of Elsie Louise (Ryan) Ross, age 70, of Berwick, NB, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on Thursday, May 22, 2008. She was the wife of Gordon F. Ross and the daughter of the late Vernon and Winnifred (Betteridge) Ryan. Elsie is survived by her husband, Gordon; sons, Ernest and Cindy Hughes of Sussex, Roy Hughes of Nauwigewauk, Stephen Hughes of Petitcodiac, and Jeffery and Pam Ross of Drayton Valley, AB; daughter, Ann Ross and Doug Hall of Sussex; grandchildren, Amanda Hughes of Alberta and Sara Hughes of Toronto, Brandon and Devon Chown of Sussex; great grandchildren, Bailey and London of Alberta; brother, Bill and Carol Ryan of Saint John; sisters, Vera and Joseph Smith of Passekeag, Betty Whittaker of Kingston Peninsula, and Margaret Bennett of Nauwigewauk; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Jackie. Visiting at Sherwood's Funeral Home (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB , from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral service will be held from Sherwood's Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 26, 2008. Interment will follow in Bayview Cemetery, Hatfield Point, NB.
