CUMMINGS, HAZEL IRENE - The death of Hazel Irene Cummings, age 79, of Southfield, NB, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on Friday, May 23, 2008. She was the wife J. Leslie Cummings and the daughter of the late Robert and Pearl (Ellis) Totten. Hazel is survived by her husband, Leslie; daughters, Carol and Maurice Byrne of Southfield and Karen and Alan Pollock of Upham; sons, Joe and Dorothy Cummings of Quispamsis, Terry and Joan Cummings of Norton, Stephen Cummings and Angela Rideout of Southfield; grandchildren, Meagan and Maurice Byrne, Erin, Kristi and Lacey Pollock, Kelly and Colin Cummings, Chris and Andrew Cummings, Heather McEwen and Rosmarie Cummings-Brown, Gary Cummings, Jeffery Cummings, Jennifer Withers and Darryl Cummings; great grandchildren, Matthew and Sara McEwen, Courtney Brown, Emily, Robyn and Garrett Cummings-Brown, Emma and Molly Cummings, Jacob and Lauren Cummings, Ty Withers, Warren and Anna Cummings; sisters, Frances Smith of BC, Marie Floyd of Saint John, Evelyn Brown of Hampton; daughter-in-law, Rita Cummings of Southfield; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by sons, Larry and Brian; grandson, Jerry; and great granddaughter, Grace; sisters, Eunice Floyd, Muriel O'Dell and Violet Peterson; brothers, Elmer and Warren Totten. Visiting at Sherwood's Funeral Home (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norton, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Norton, NB.
