DEMERCHANT, ALTA MINNIE - of Hartland passed away at Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville on Friday, May 23, 2008, at the age of 87. She is survived by six sons, Marvin, Robert, Harold, James, Fred and David Demerchant; four daughters, Charlene Hathaway, Mary Hathaway, Linda Etherington and Sharon Adler; seven sisters, Velma Foster, Minnie McConnell, Zelda Bell, Leota Lamont, Joyce Brewer, Jean Morgan and Hazel Doherty; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Alta was predeceased by her husband, Victor; her parents, Thomas and Wylda ( Perkins ) Morgan; twin sister Alma Young; four sons, Andrew, Bernard, Delbert and Charles; and one daughter, Sharon. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB, with visiting on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm from Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Glen McVicor will be officiating, with interment in the Gordonsville Community Cemetery. www.scottfh.com
