MASON, MARY AGNES "SUSIE", (1949-2008) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of Mary Agnes "Susie" Mason (Burns) on May 22, 2008 at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Saint John on March 1, 1949 she was one of 16 children born to James E. and Mary Loretta (Shannon) Burns. Susie and her husband Larry of 37 years, raised their family on the Westside. They loved spending time at the camp, in Coles Island. Susie graduated from Vocational High School and then attended the Modern Business College. She worked at the Saint John General Hospital and later at the Saint John Regional Hospital in the X-Ray Department. Susie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Larry; daughters, Laurie (Mike) Griffin, Patricia; sons, Scott (Shelley), Greg (Christine), Keith (Theresa), all of Saint John; sisters, Joan (Bill) Bastarache, Betty (Jim) Lanigan, of Saint John, Peggy (Bob) Matheson, Quebec, Tina (Don) Matheson, Connie (Dan) Hooper, of Saint John; brothers, Joe (Barb), Norman (Dot), Bill (Lori), Mike (Karen), Jim (Judy), Pat (Margie), Fred (Mary), Kenny (Sheree), all of Saint John; brother-in-law, Bill Shea, Saint John; grandchildren, Allie Griffin, Kate Griffin, Matthew Griffin, Sydney Mason, Drew Mason, Ava Mason and Emma Mason; 127 nieces and nephews. Susie was predeceased by, her parent, James E. and Mary Loretta (Shannon) Burns; sister, Catherine "Casey" Shea and brother, James in infancy. Resting at Castle Funeral Home "Fallsview Chapel" 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John (634-1701) with visitation on Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady Of The Assumption on Tuesday May 27, 2008 at 12 noon, followed by internment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
