LEBLANC, MURIEL M. - The death of Muriel May, nee Byers, (Driscoll Whipple) LeBlanc, of Saint John West, wife of the late Clarence LeBlanc occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 8, 2008. Born in Saint John on April 23, 1915. she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Clark) Byers. She is survived by her son, Fred Whipple; step-sons, Malcolm Whipple, Clarence LeBlanc, and Bobby LeBlanc, all of Saint John; her daughters, Susan (Alex) McGibbon of Gagetown, Marcia (Jim) Mason of Saint John, Pat (Gary) Kennedy of Fredericton; step-daughters, Vivian (Stuart) Walsh of Hamilton, Ont, Mary Raynes and Fay Lambert of Saint John; brothers, Kenneth Byers of Saint John, and William Byers of Sussex; sisters, Helen Gifford and Beatrice Conley of Saint John. She will be sadly missed by her nieces; nephews; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and Jill Wade of St. Thomas, Ontario. Mrs. Leblanc was predeceased by husbands, Wesley Driscoll, Frederick Whipple, and Clarence LeBlanc; several brothers and sisters and her children, Wesley Driscoll, Ernie Driscoll, Coster Whipple; step-son, Kay-don Whipple; daughter, Shirley Hooper; step-daughters, Gloria Speight and Linda LeBlanc. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Visiting on Monday from 2 to 4, 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from Fallsview Chapel. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception will take place at Fallsview Family Reception Centre. Donations in memory of Muriel to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
