It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Tibbetts announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the age of 68 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 35 years, Edith; son, David; sister, Janus Bradford of British Columbia; nephews: Peter, Paul, and Russell; niece, Christa; aunts: Marion Lacey and Edna Lacey; sisters-in-law: Elizabeth (Ray) Gallagher and Barbara (George) Hutchings; brothers-in-law: Alex Powell, Fred (Arlene) Powell, Don (Allison) Powell, and Joe (Norma) Powell; nieces: Catherine Smith and Catherine Gillingham; nephews: Gordon Powell, Brian Powell, Tom Hutchings, Jeffrey Powell, Allan Powell, Christopher Gallagher, and Tony Gallagher and their families; and a large circle of other relatives and friends, far and wide. He was predeceased by his parents, Grace and Angus Tibbetts. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday, February 28, 2008 and Friday, February 29, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Church with Rev. Sandra Hounsell-Drover officiating. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
