It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Pennell announces his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, March 31, 2008 at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, children: Barbara Boland (Ned); David (Linda); grandchildren: Scott (Janice), Todd (Sharlene), Andrea, and Matthew; great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Ryder; brother: Alfred (Rose); sister: Nonie (David); special friend Ann Thistle, and a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by wife Elizabeth on January 22, 2006. The family will be receiving friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 2 , 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Main St with Archbishop Payne officiating. Interment at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
