MCEVOY, LLOYD - At the Grand Falls General Hospital, June 25, 2008, Mr. Lloyd McEvoy of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 68 years. He was the husband of Burnice (Young) McEvoy. Born at Pineville, Northumberland County in 1940, he was a son of the late Weldon and Annie (Kehoe) McEvoy. Lloyd was a retired switchboard operator with NB Power. Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Daren (Donna Godbout) of Kitchener, Ontario, Sean (Christina Kurt) of Waterloo, Ontario and Julie (friend Anthony James) of London, Ontario; four grandchildren, Thomas, Tanner, Sara and Owen; sisters and brothers, Carmel McEvoy of San Francisco, CA, Shirley Lee (John) of Moncton, NB, Alma Hawkes (Andrew) of St. George, NB, Tony McEvoy (Katherine) of Fort McMurray, AB and Weldon Jr. (Susan) of Blackville, NB; as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Glenna; and one brother, Peter. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. His funeral will be held Saturday, June 28th at 2 p.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with interment in St. Bridget's Cemetery, Renous.
