GORDON LANCELOT LESLIE

LESLIE, GORDON LANCELOT - It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Gordon Lancelot Leslie, husband of Esther (Morrison) Leslie of Rothesay, on Friday June 27, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born Oct. 28, 1928 to the late Emily (McBurney) Roberts and Lancelot Leslie. Gordon worked for Lawson Mortors in Saint John for 32 years and then for Centennial Pontiac Buick up until his retirement in 1995. He was member of UCT, United Commercial Travelers for many years. Gordon will be sadly missed but the memories are happy ones that we will cherish. His grandchildren will miss their Pepe (Aidin will certainly miss her super hero). He loved going to the cottage in the Bellisle to enjoy the water, BBQ's, family and friends. A kind and compassionate man, he will be remembered by his family for his warmth, quick wit, amazing sense of humour and his sparkling blue eyes. Besides his loving wife and best friend Esther, Gordon is survived by son, Gary J. Leslie (Kristy Ross) of Elgin, IL; daughter, Diane McAdam (John) of Fredericton; sister, Eleanor Burton of Richmond Hill, ON; grandchildren, Tyler Gordon Leslie, Sydney, Reagan and Aidin McAdam and Alex, Ryan and Geoff Campbell; special friends, Isabella and Ralph Miller; several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Gordon was predeceased by his stepfather, Thomas Roberts and brother-in-law, William Burton. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) on Saturday June 28th, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady Of Perpetual Help, 31 Gondola Point Rd., Rothesay on Monday, June 30th at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. Donations in Gordon's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Lung Association.
