HAWKES, VIVIAN V. - The death of Vivian V. Hawkes of Hampton, wife of David Hawkes occurred July 15, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Norton, daughter of the late Milford and Pearl (Slattery) Kincaid. Vivian was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her husband David; three sons, David Kincaid, Shediac, Richard Hawkes, Nauwigewauk, Timothy Hawkes, Hampton; one daughter, Sherry Alward (Albert), Nerepis; one step-grandson, Alex; one brother, Joseph Kincaid (Jackie), Sussex; three sisters, Maddie Forgrave, Agnes Simpson and Shirley Barton, all of Sussex; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Danny William Hawkes and one sister, Katherine Stackhouse. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation 2 to 4pm & 7 to 9pm Friday. The funeral will be held Saturday, 2:00 pm at Hampton Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Gray officiating. Interment in Riverbank Cemetery. Memorials to NB Lung Association or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
