HENDERSON, ELDA (MELANSON) - Elda Henderson; wife of the late Kenneth N. Henderson, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Milford, June 10, 1913 she was the daughter of the late William and Annie (Long) Melanson. She is survived by her brother, Harold (Bussy) Melanson; sister, Bertha Henderson; grandchildren, Mark Henderson (Mary), Christopher Henderson, and Shelley Edison (Danny); five great-grandchildren, Tomalyn (Mike Young), Brian, Jim, Jeremy, and Michael. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Donald Henderson. Arrangements have been entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701). By Elda's request, there will be no visitation and cremation will take place, followed by a private graveside at Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. Donations, in memory of Elda, may be made to the St. Mark's United Church Benevolent Fund, which will help people in need.
