RUSSELL LINWOOD BOND
BOND, RUSSELL LINWOOD - The death of Russell L. Bond occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, July 27, 2008. Russell was born on May 6, 1927 in the parish of Kars, Kings County, New Brunswick to the late Harold and Gladys (Earle) Bond. He leaves behind his loving family; sister, Beatrice Estelle Miller, of Kars; daughter, Sylvia Bernice and George Crothers, of Saint John; sons, Kevin Russell and Judy Thomas, of Kingston and Harold Allan at home in Codys. The family also extended to include Ronda Hakkers, now Ronda Stevens and Leonard of Codys and Kevin Crannie of Toronto. He also leaves grandchildren, Nathanial Russell Bond and Nathanial's mother Heather MacAlpine of Codys and Kristopher Stuart Pope of Halifax; and extended grandchildren, Julie and Travis Stevens. There are also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Russell was predeceased by his wife Leola Alice (Flewelling), parents Harold and Gladys Bond, sister Gladys Bernice and brother-in-law Lee Sherwood, grandson Eric James Bond and nephew Larry M. Sherwood. Resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. Visiting will be held on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Codys Baptist Church on Friday, August 1, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
