TAYLOR, HARRISON C. "HERK" - 74, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1, 2008, in the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII. He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Gillian Ann (Dr. Donald Slaunwhite) and S. Jane (Capt. Charles Walton); his beloved grandchildren, Adam, Benjamin and Eric Slaunwhite, Jack, Logan, Claire and Sam Walton; his sister, Joan McCumber; three nephews and two nieces. He will also be missed by Lou, his cat. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Donald K. Walker Funeral Directors Ltd., Dartmouth (469-5601). There will be no visitation. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, August 5, at 2 p.m. in Woodlawn United Church, Dartmouth, with a reception to follow.
