COLBY SMITH TRECARTIN
TRECARTIN, COLBY SMITH - The death of Mr. Colby S. Trecartin, husband of Elsie (Hampton) Trecartin of Saint John West, occurred unexpectedly at his residence on August 2, 2008. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late George and Pearl (Nichols) Trecartin. Colby worked at the Bayshore CPR Roundhouse for 15 years and the Irving Pulp and Paper for 32 years, retiring in 1992. As well as his family, he will be sadly missed by his friends at Tim Horton's and the Liar's Club at the City Market. Besides his wife Elsie, he is survived by son, Derek Trecartin (Roberta Martin), daughters, Gail (Erick) McLaughlin and Carolyn Kehl, all of Saint John, brothers George (Audrey) Trecartin of Wickham and Kenneth (Betty) Trecartin of Gagetown, Marion (Jim) Stevens of Saint John and Jane (Gordon) McKay of Sussex. He is also survived by six grandchildren Danielle (Dave) Jacquard-Hillman, Cory Jacquard, Andrew Trecartin, Amanda Kehl, Samantha Mackie, and Michael Trecartin, four great-grandchildren Emily, Julia, Zachary and Quinn several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Visiting will take place at "Fallsview" on Monday from 7 to 9 pm, and Tuesday from 2 to 4, 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 1:30 pm from Fallsview Chapel. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Donations in memory of Colby to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
