DEFAZIO, JOYCE L. - The death of Joyce L. Defazio of Hampton, wife of Gerald T. Defazio occurred August 3, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Saint John, daughter of the late Otis and Dorothy (Jacques) Marr. Joyce enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. She was a member of Kennebecasis Br. 58, R.C.L. Ladies Auxiliary and dart team. She is survived by her husband Gerald; one daughter, Kathy Morrell (Ray Nyers), Quispamsis; one son, Ricky Defazio (Joan Archer), Saint John; one brother, Harry Marr (Betty Campbell), Lepreau; eight grandchildren, Lindsay, Ashley, Cody, Jeremy, Tyler, Sonya, Ricky, Kyle; one great granddaughter, Allya; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Tony and Larry; and one sister Donna Cormier. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held Thursday, 2:00 pm at Hampton United Church with Rev. Ian Harrison officiating.
