MADORE,ELLEN LORRAINE - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Lorraine Madore, age 62, after a courageous two year battle with cancer, at the Queens North Palliative care unit in Minto. Born in Minto on April 19th, 1946, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Walter Madore and Sarah McDonough. She is survived by her three brothers, Patrick (Gilberte), Donald (Patricia) and Darrel (Carolyn); eleven nieces and nephews, eight great-nieces and nephews and many, many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Mary Patricia and a brother, John Douglas. Lorraine was a loyal civil servant of 43 years for the Department of Health and Family and Community Services. She especially enjoyed her involvement with Fredericton ITC Club, being a past president of that group. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home with visitation on Friday, August 8th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held from Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Minto at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 9th, 2008.In lieu of flowers, the family would request remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice. www.mintofh.com
