CAMPBELL, BASIL J. - Basil John Campbell ,66, of People's Park Tower, Moncton passed away while on vacation in Charlottetown P.E.I. on Wednesday August 6, 2008. Born in Gordonsville he was a son of the late George H. and Lulla (Clark) Campbell. Basil retired as a payroll manager with Apex Industries. Throughout his life he used his musical talent as a witness to his Lord and for over 25 years participated in the Sunday evening hymn sing at People's Park Tower. He was also a member of the Moncton Men's Gospel Chorus and attended the Lutes Mountain Church of the Nazarene and other area churches and bible study groups. He enjoyed travelling, photography and genealogy of the Campbell family. Survived by a sister Doreen Sharp (Bernard) of Wakefield; a brother, Burley (Susan) Campbell of Gordonsville; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many good friends. Predeceased by a brother George. There will be no visiting hours by personal request. A celebration of Basil's life will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Tuesday August 12 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating.
