CAIN, STEPHEN DAVID - Stephen David Cain, 86, of Pleasant Vale passed away peacefully at home Monday August 18, 2008 surrounded by his family. Born in Pleasant Vale, he was the last surviving sibling of the late Harry and Alice (Beaman) Cain. Stephen retired from the C.N.R. as an agent after 34 years. He was a member of the CN Pensioner's Association and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and watching Toronto Blue Jays games. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and was very proud of all of the children's and grandchildren's accomplishments. Survived by his beloved wife of nearly 68 years the former Hannah Elizabeth Adair; his children Lloyd (Carol), Mildred Cain, Richard (Gisele), Vallory Nowlan (Wayne), David, Lena Hotham (David), Shirley Cain, Donald (Darlene), Cynthia Cain (John) and Kimberley Blacquier (John) and a son in law Kell Klausen. Survived also by 27 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by children Ellen Nancy Klausen (2008), Joseph (1954), Susan (1955) and by a brother Everett and a sister Lena Chapman. There will be no visitation or Funeral by personal request. A private family graveside service will be held at the Pleasant Vale Cemetery. If desired memorials to the Pleasant Vale Cemetery or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
