HARRINGTON, HELEN GERTRUDE - The death of Helen Harrington of Saint John, NB occurred at the Loch Lomond Villa on Thursday, the 21st of August, 2008. She was born on the 10th of June, 1913 to the late John and Eugene Longon. She was the wife of the Arthur T. Harrington and her first husband the late Harold E. Fawcett. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Helen was a long standing member of the Edith Avenue Baptist Church. She was a great prayer lady for her family and friends. Helen is survived by two daughters, Jean Anne Anthony (Ross) and Nancy Metz (Bob) both of Saint John, NB; one step son, William "Bill" Harrington (Libby) of Dryden, ON; nine grandchildren: Brenda Colquhoun (Doug), Stephen Anthony (Lesley), Stewart, Gary, Lisa and Christopher Metz, Jeffrey (Rhonda), Jamie (Caleigh) and John (Carolyn) Harrington and ten great grandchildren. Besides her husbands and parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Ruth, Edith and Alice. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2008 from Brenan's Chapel at a time to be announced. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery at a later date.
