RODGERS, FREDERICK JOHN - The death of Frederick John Rodgers of Barnesville, husband of Hazel (Osbourne) Rodgers occurred August 22, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Grove Hill, Saint John County, son of the late William and Esther Jemima (Hosford) Rodgers. Fred was a lifelong resident of Barnesville where he was engaged in lumbering and trucking. He enjoyed going to his camp. He is survived by his wife Hazel; four sons, Norman (Amy), Barnesville, Hazen (Carla), Barnesville, Bernard (Kim), Upham, Curtis (Michelle), Barnesville; five sisters, Annie Dalling, Barnesville, Ethel Sommerville, Barnesville, Hazel Davis, Saint John, Greta Carson, Sussex, Doris Graham (Eldon), Sussex; one brother, Arnold Rodgers (Mary), Saint John; one sister-in-law Elsie Robinson (Don) Sussex; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation 2 to 4pm & 7 to 9pm Saturday and Sunday. The funeral will be held Monday, 2:00 pm at Barnesville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kent Burdett officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
