EMERY JOSEPH BELLIVEAU
BELLIVEAU, EMERY JOSEPH - September 8th, 2008. Emery Belliveau passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Minto on May 4, 1928, Emery was the son of the late Camille Belliveau and Edna Allain. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Anne (Cherubini). Emery leaves behind three loving daughters, Tina Belliveau-Moore (Cecil) of St. George, Angela Ingersoll (Kevin) of Saint John and Joanne Breau (Gordon) of Saint John and his five grandchildren Kendra Belliveau-Moore, Corey and Trevor Breau, Kelsey and Aaron Ingersoll. Emery enjoyed spending time with his family and was the world's best grandfather. Emery is survived by his sister Rita of Saint John, and four brothers Clarence (Louise) of Victoria, BC, Raymond (Edna) of Saint John, John (Wally) of Vernon, BC and David (Marcella) of Bathurst and many nieces and nephews. Emery was predeceased by his brothers Ivan (Pete), and sisters Dorilla Shanko, Lorraine Walker and Neta Dididato. For many years Emery and Annie owned and operated the Spaghetti House Restaurant on Main Street in Minto where many friends, family and locals gathered daily. Emery was very supportive in the community of Minto. He was a very active member of the Holy Rosary Church and was instrumental in developing the Minto Recreational Centre for the Knights of Columbus, chartered member of the Knights of Columbus Council, a member of the fourth degree, served on several committees in the community including town council, school board and parish council. Emery thoroughly enjoyed working for the betterment of the community and devoted many hours towards this goal. Emery was also an avid sportsman and spent a lot of time hunting and fishing at his camp at Salmon River. Many special memories at his place in Grand Lake with his family will be treasured forever. Emery will be sadly missed. He was above all else a family man and a gentleman. He has rejoined his beloved Annie. The family of Emery Belliveau would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their excellent care and support during his stay. A special thanks to Kimber, Brenda Ballard and Carolyn Gauthier. The family will receive visitors at Minto Funeral Home on Main Street on Wednesday, September 10th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral service will take place at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church also on Main Street in Minto with the Rev. Peter Stephen officiating on Thursday, September 11th at 11:00 am.
