GELDART, JAMES F.W. "JIM" - It is with great sadness and disbelief that we announce the passing of Jim (James F.W.) Geldart, 50, of Alton, who left us to be in a better place on September 6, 2008, surrounded by his family and close friends. He leaves behind his wife of 30 years and best friend, Gladys (McEwen); children, Stephen (Tracey Richards), Riverglade, N.B.; Robin (Donald Hood) and Colin (Sarah Wort), both of Alton; grandchildren, Rebecca, Alexander, Kate, and Keegan; mother, Dorothy (Johnston) Geldart, Bible Hill; brothers, Eric (Ardyth), Truro; Derek (Mickey), Antigonish; brother-in-law, Wink McCallum; grandmother, Mae Johnston, Millstream, N.B.; Gladys' parents, Harris and Kay McEwen, Carsonville, N.B., and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his father, Floyd; sister, Marge. A time of visitation with the family will take place Saturday, September 13, 6 to 9 p.m. in Shubenacadie United Church. Funeral service Sunday, September 14, at 3 p.m. in Shubenacadie United Church with Rev. Helen Waddell and Rev. Neil McEwen officiating. Due to family allergies, please refrain from wearing heavy perfumes and colognes.
