GELDART, JAMES F.W. "JIM" - It is with great sadness and disbelief that we announce the passing of Jim (James F.W.) Geldart, 50, of Alton, who left us to be in a better place on September 6, 2008, surrounded by his family and close friends. He leaves behind his wife of 30 years and best friend, Gladys (McEwen); children, Stephen (Tracey Richards), Riverglade, N.B.; Robin (Donald Hood) and Colin (Sarah Wort), both of Alton; grandchildren, Rebecca, Alexander, Kate, and Keegan; mother, Dorothy (Johnston) Geldart, Bible Hill; brothers, Eric (Ardyth), Truro; Derek (Mickey), Antigonish; brother-in-law, Wink McCallum; grandmother, Mae Johnston, Millstream, N.B.; Gladys' parents, Harris and Kay McEwen, Carsonville, N.B., and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his father, Floyd; sister, Marge. A time of visitation with the family will take place Saturday, September 13, 6 to 9 p.m. in Shubenacadie United Church. Funeral service Sunday, September 14, at 3 p.m. in Shubenacadie United Church with Rev. Helen Waddell and Rev. Neil McEwen officiating. Due to family allergies, please refrain from wearing heavy perfumes and colognes. By request, no flowers, but donations may be made to Milford-Lantz United Church Building Fund (c/o Treasurer, Box 73 Milford, NS. B0N 1Y0), the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
