NORMAN (NORRIE) GILLESPIE
GILLESPIE, NORMAN (NORRIE) - The passing of Norrie Gillespie of Perth-Andover occurred on September 18, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital at the age of 68. Born in Leith, Scotland, he was the son of the late John and Christina Gillespie. Norrie is survived by his wife, Katherine (Kay) Gillespie; children, Mark Gillespie of Waterdown, ON and Katrina Gillespie of Dundas, ON; stepsons, Clark Glaspy of Priceville, ON and Steven Hamblin of Florenceville, NB; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Jacob; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Chilvers of Bracebridge, ON and Shiela (Chris) Boland of Scarboro, ON; brothers Peter (Roberta) Gillespie, Brian (Liz) Gillespie and Allan Gillespie all of Edinburgh, Scotland, Kenny (Martha) Gillespie and Donnie Gillespie of Leith, Scotland. Predeceased by his parents, three brothers Johnny, Danny and David, two sisters May and Chrissie. Former employee of Toronto Transit Commission in Toronto, ON, 32 Degree Scottish Rites Mason-MT. Dennis Lodge in Toronto, ON, Past Master of LOL 301 in Toronto, ON, former member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Perth-Andover and also the Perth Elks Lodge. Resting at White's Funeral Home, Perth-Andover with visiting hours on Sunday September 21st from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 22nd at 2 pm from White's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terrence Chandra officiating. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery.
