JONATHAN BARRY INGERSOLL

INGERSOLL, JONATHAN BARRY - 17 After a fierce battle with leukemia, it is with great sadness that the family announce the death of Jonathan Ingersoll that occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 18, 2008. Born November 1990 in Saint John, he was the beloved son of Michael Ingersoll (Sherry) and Doreen L. McCullough (Marcel Doucet); cherished brother of Joel, Jeremy, and step-brother Josh; idolized big brother to his sister Devyn; devoted grandson to paternal grandfather Donald Ingersoll; maternal grandmother Doreen M. McCullough. Jonathan leaves to mourn aunts Dana and June McCullough, uncles Barry (Linda), Vernon and Orville McCullough and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as many dear and close friends, especially his soul mate and girlfriend Katelyn Lavoie, best friends Chris Boyce, Dallas Cormier, Garrett Boyce, Trevor Breau, Jonathan Bradbin, Tim Jackson and his godson Jonah Barry Peters, his best bud Tyler Cranston from IWK. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother Paulianna (Doiron) Ingersoll and maternal grandfather Orville G. McCullough. Jonathan was a true life hero that inspired anyone who met him with his tremendous strength and courage to be more and to do more in their life. Even though he could not be cured from this terrible disease, it did not win as Jonathan battled courageously and never let it get him or anyone around him down. He was a sweet talker and always had a joke or story to tell. His charm made him a favourite with all of the doctors, nurses and patients alike at the IWK, the Saint John Regional and Linda from the Ronald McDonald House. Jonathan was proud to graduate from Saint John High, class of 2008. He enjoyed partying, snowboarding, camping, football, and music. Jonathan worked at the Irving Mainway on Loch Lomond Road while attending school. -ING THE KING- Visitation will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd, (646-2424) on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Monday September 22, 2008, at 12:05 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
