MCBRIDE, EDWARD "NED" - The death of Edward "Ned" McBride of Hampton, husband of Regina (O'Brien) McBride, occurred September 21, 2008 at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton. He was born in Hanford Brook, son of the late Joseph and Theresa (McDermott) McBride. Ned worked in the Crane Department at the Saint John Shipyard for twenty five years. He was a sports fan and also enjoyed looking after livestock. He is survived by his wife, Regina; two sons, Fred McBride, Hampton, Neil McBride (Judy), Nauwigewauk; one daughter Theresa Bolster (Alan), Ottawa; one daughter-in-law, Betsy McBride, Sarnia, ON; one sister, Margaret Sherwood, Hampton; five grandchildren, one great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Reg McBride. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton with visitation Tuesday, 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 2:00pm, at St. Alphonsus Church, Hampton. Interment in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
