SHORT, FRANK R. - The death of Frank Raymond Short of Saint John, NB, husband of Joan (Berry) Short, occurred on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on February 19, 1934 he was a son of the late Bernard and Ethel (Simpson) Short. Frank was a commercial fisherman, owning and operating his own boat. He was a big fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Besides his wife Joan he is survived by three sons, Frank (Carol) Short, Bernard Short, Brian (Cynthia) Short; two daughters, Ethel (Dave) Albert, Debbie (John) Barnett all of Saint John; one brother, Bernie Short of Vancouver; one sister, Nancy (Jack) Hamilton of Grand Bay-Westfield; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by one brother, Robert Short. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visitation on Sunday, October 5, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
