JACK HILTON MASON
MASON, JACK HILTON - It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Jack Hilton Mason of Saint John at the St. Joseph's Hospital on Saturday October 11, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. Born 1934 in Saint John to the late Alan and Edna (Dobson) Mason. Jack worked as a Bartender for Gladstone and Valley Tavern for many years. He loved the outdoors, playing darts, bowling, horseshoes and spending time with family and friends. Jack was a devoted father, brother and friend, all who knew him will miss him terribly. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Juliano (Jamie), Jacqueline MacDonald, Rose Marie LeBlanc (Claude) ; son, Anthony Bruce (Theresa) all of Saint John; daughters, Juanita Wilson of Winnipeg, MN, Jeanne Morrissey and son, Christopher Morrissey; brothers, Gene and Gary both of Saint John; sisters, June Thorne, Muriel Short (Leslie) and Diane "Honey" of Summerville; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Jack was predeceased by his son-in-law, David MacDonald; a brother, Joseph and a sister, Lorna Flowers. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. with visitation on Tuesday October 14, 2008 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday October 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment to take place at a later date.
