It is with great sadness that the family of the late Melvin Gill announces his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the age of 74 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 52 years, Nellie; children: Ursula Hutchinson (Steve), Kim Gill (George Curtis), Melvin Gill (Elizabeth Manuel), Noel Gill (Elizabeth Perry), Otto Gill (Susan), Edmund Gill (Rhonda), Eric Gill (Cindy Quigley), Raymond Gill (Shauna), and Elizabeth Sheahan (Cillian); grandchildren: Desiree, Jillian, Nicole, Tracy, Trevor, Tiffany, Evan, Ashley, Victoria, John, Kayla, Melody, Justin, Ryan, Kristen, Erika, Jared, Paxton; great grand-children: Jacob, Tommy, Raven, Nicholas, and Angelina; brother, John Gill; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Ursula Gill and sister-in-law, Daphne. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday, January 24, 2008 and Friday, January 25, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2008 from the Salvation Army Temple with Major Ron Stuckless officiating. Interment at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
