MATHESON, EDMUND STANLEY - The death of Mr. E. Stanley Matheson of Saint John West, husband of Mrs. Jean (Woodman) Matheson occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 11, 2008. Born in Sydney Mines, N.S., he was the son of the late Angus G. and Sara (Colwell) Matheson. Mr. Matheson was the Director of Supply and Services at Centracare for many years. He was a member Emeritus of McLeod Moore Conclave # 1, Masonic and Military Order Knights of the Red Cross of Constantine, KHS St. John the Evangelist, Past District Deputy Grand Master, Grand Lodge of New Brunswick, Past Potentate of the Luxor Shrine, and 33rd Degree Scottish Rite, Member of the Royal Order of Scotland. Mr. Matheson is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Jean, and several nieces and nephews. Beside his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers Lewis Matheson and Crawford Matheson, and two sisters Margaret Matheson and Rebecca Murray. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701), Visiting at Fallsview on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4, and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from St. Columba Presbyterian Church at 2 pm. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. A Masonic Service will take place on Tuesday at 7pm at Fallsview.
