DONALD SULLIVAN
SULLIVAN, DONALD - The death of Donald Joseph Sullivan, husband of Doreen (David) occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Born on January 9, 1928, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Thomas and Josephine (Black) Sullivan. Donald worked for the Province of New Brunswick initially at Lancaster City Hall, later as an Office manager for the Revenue Office of Saint John. A man of great Christian faith, Donald was a founding member of the Parish Council of St. Rose of Lima, Co-ordinator of The Religious Education program at St. Rose of Lima as well as holding many positions with the church over the years. He enjoyed going to Ridgewood with Father Keating on Thursday's to celebrate Mass. He was a Past Faithful Navigator of the Monsignor Lockary Assembly, Past Grand Knight in the Father Thomas Beck Council #8094, and was also a member of the Third and Fourth Degree Teams. Donald's wife, family and church were the main focus of his life, He enjoyed being with his grandchildren whom he was so very proud of. Besides his loving wife Doreen, he is survived by sons, David (Sandra), Winnipeg; Kevin Sullivan, Moncton; daughters, Patti (Gil) LeBlanc, Quispamsis; Lori (Adrice) Bordage, Saint John; sisters, Patricia (Cyril) Hanlon, Saint John; Mary (Louis) Charron, Ottawa; Carmel Wallace, Saint John; brother, Thomas "Tim" , Moncton, sister-In-law, Louise Sullivan, Halifax; grandchildren, Amy and Andrew Sullivan, Marc (Erin), Robert (Krystal), and Danielle LeBlanc, Jillian and Emily Sullivan, Andrew, Eric and Bradley Bordage, Great - Grandson, Riley LeBlanc and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter In-law, Susan Sullivan, sister, Joanne Sullivan and brother, John Sullivan. Resting at Castle "Fallsview' Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701). Visiting will be held on Friday, October 17, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday at 10 am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Cremation to follow. Private family burial to be held at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
