MACFARLANE, ALICE - At the age of 100 years at her residence in the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB, on Saturday, October 18th, 2008; Alice Regina ( MacLaren) (Dougherty) MacFarlane. Born in St. Andrews, NB, she is the daughter of the late Frederick & Alma (Holmes) MacLaren. She is survived by her daughter Margaret MacNichol of St. Andrews, NB, one grandson, Brian MacNichol (Susan) of Sussex, NB, one step-grandson, Richard MacFarlane of Brooklin, Ont, two great grandchildren, Christopher of Sussex and Linda of Fredericton, NB, cousins, nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her first husband, Melvin Dougherty and her second husband Claude MacFarlane, one son, Wayne one brother and two sisters. By Alices' request there will be no visitation however family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service to be held at St. Andrews Rural Cemetery on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Cheryl McFadyen will officiate. A reception will follow in the Presbyterian Memorial Hall in St. Andrews. In lieu of flowers donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to the Passamaquoddy Lodge would be appreciated by the family.
