HEWEY, ALICE IRENE - Surrounded by her family, the death of Alice Hewey occurred at St. Joseph's Hospital on Wednesday, October 22, 2008. She was born on January 20, 1928 in Central Greenwich to the late Charles and Ida (McKiel) Cameron. She is survived by five sons: Robert (Joan), Ronald, Wayne (Mary), Gary (Debbie) and Darren (Janet) all of Saint John; one daughter, Karen Johnson of Saint John; two sisters: Marjorie Perry and Constance Thom; nine grandchildren; one great grandson and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband Charles Hewey; two brothers: Banford and Hiram Cameron and four sisters: Katherine McLaughlin, Mildred Foote, Edna Calvin and Olive Pitcher. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 11:30 am. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery's Field of Honour.
