WILCOX, HELENE J. - The death of Helene J. Wilcox occurred on Friday October 24, 2008 at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1909 in Arlington, Mass., She was the daughter of the late Hiram and Florence (Pyne) Wilcox. Helene worked as a Missionary and served in The Maritimes, Newfoundland, Ontario, and The U.S.A. Helene is survived by nieces Maude (the late Gerald Hunter), Lillian (Albert) Wilcox and one nephew-in-law Lester Bass all of Grand Manan; ten grand nieces and nephews as well as several great grand nieces and nephews and cousins. Besides her parents Helene was predeceased by one brother Elmer Wilcox; one sister Edith Wilcox, nephews Albert Wilcox and Gerald Hunter and one niece Helen Bass. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitations will be held on Wednesday October 29, 2008 from 2-5 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow that evening in The Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 7 p.m. Interment will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery, Hill Road, Grand Manan, N.B. on Thursday October 30, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Helene may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or The NB Heart & Stroke Foundation.
