QUANN, VERA VELDA (MUNROE) - Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on October 24, 2008, Mrs. Vera Velda (Munroe) Quann, wife of Mr. Leo Joseph Quann of St. George NB. Born at Canso NS on April 20, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Edith (Richardson) Munroe. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband Leo, she is survived by one daughter, Donna Quann (Shawn Watson) of Elmsville NB, one son, Earl Munroe of Saint John NB, grandchildren; Leo Spencer, Dyrwyn Tyler, Lacey, Ace, Joshua and Desiree, one brother, Jackie "Fred" (Thelma) Munroe of Canso NS, their children; Michelle (Allan) Hendsbee of Half Island Cove NS and their children and Lloyd (Cindy) Munroe of Sackville NS and their children and several cousins. Vera was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Lloyd Richardson and by one sister, Velda Munroe. Vera was a gentle soul who loved to spend all the time she could with her family and grandchildren. She loved the outdoors and swimming and enjoyed her quiet time by knitting. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Monday at 3:00 pm with Rev. Canon David Genge officiating. Visiting at the funeral home will take place on Sunday from 7-9 pm.
