HARVEY, LEILA GERTRUDE - Leila Gertrude, 88, formerly of Grand Harbour, Grand Manan Island passed away at the Grand Manan Nursing Home Thursday, October 30, 2008. Born of the late Walter and Nellie Small in Castalia. Before becoming a resident at the Grand Manan Nursing Home Mrs. Harvey resided in Grand Harbour. She was a member of the Grand Harbour Baptist Church and was actively involved with the Women's Missionary Society, and taught Sunday School classes. She is survived by her son Mr. Albert Harvey of Dartmouth NS, her sister Mrs. Hilda Ingersoll of North Head; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Foster in 1999, one brother Donald, and one infant brother. Visiting hours will be held at Ells Funeral Home Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Grand Harbour Baptist Church Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Steve Brown officiating, interment will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery.
