MAYNARD, JAMES AUBREY - It is with great sadness the family announces the death of James Aubrey Maynard of Saint John, devoted husband of Barbara (Boyd) Maynard. Born 1939 in Fredericton Jct. to the late Curtis and Bernice (Webb) Maynard. In his earlier days James was in the Navy, later becoming an electrician and working for the Dry Docks in Saint John retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Fredericton Junction. Besides his wife Barbara, he is survived by sons, Gerry and Jay (Tammy) both of Vancouver, BC; Peter of Edmonton, Vance of Ontario and Rick (Alison) of Sydney, N.S; grandchildren Curtis, Jackson, Brady, Emma, James, Kelly Lynn and Sean; one brother Stillman (Gert) of Fredericton Junction; sister Eileen Hartt of Fredericton Junction; sister-in-laws Eloise Maynard of Fredericton Junction and Edette Maynard of Vernon, BC; special friend Jim Whittaker of Saint John; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents James was predeceased by two brothers, Gerry and Walter and two sisters, Alta Webb and Lena Bunker. Following cremation a memorial service will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) on Saturday November 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Private family interment to take place at a later date in Fredericton Jct.
