HANSEN, SHIRLEY MAE - Shirley Mae Hansen, 69, of Woodstock, NB, passed away on Saturday, November 01, 2008 at the Carleton Manor, Woodstock, NB. Shirley was born in Woodstock, NB in May 1939, daughter of Laura (Hubley) and the late Ellsworth Patterson. Shirley is survived by her husband Everett, Woodstock, NB, mother, Laura, Fredericton, NB, sons, David, Moncton, NB, Neil (Sheila), Woodstock, NB, grandchildren; Nicholas and Chelsea, sisters, Norma Peabody, Fredericton, NB, Marie Harling, Fredericton, NB, brother, Wilfred Patterson (Kathy), Temple, NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her father, Ellsworth, Shirley was predeceased by a brother, Ellsworth Robert (Buddy). Shirley graduated from the Meductic High School. After high school, Shirley attended Victoria Public Hospital School of Nursing. In her nursing career, Shirley worked at the Carleton Memorial Hospital, VON and the Extra Mural Hospital. Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Wednesday, November 5 from 6 to 9. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6 from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM. Interment will be in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jacksonville United Church or donor's choice.
