JOHN "JACK" DENNIS ANDERSON
ANDERSON, JOHN "JACK" DENNIS - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on November 22, 2008, Mr. John "Jack" Dennis Anderson, husband of Mrs. Sandra (Lawson) Anderson of St. George, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on February 13, 1937, he was a son of the late Keith and Doris (Davis) Anderson. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Jack is survived by his loving wife Sandra; two daughters, Deborah Anderson of St. Andrews, NB and Denise Elizabeth Anderson of St. George; one son, Keith George Anderson of Montréal, QC; one granddaughter, Katrina Louise Anderson of St. George; two brothers, David K. Anderson of Pocologan, NB and Keith R. (Lil) Anderson of Hamilton, ON; one stepson, Larry (Wendy) Tatton of Bethel, NB and their children, Jessie, Shyanne and Colin; and several cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, June Anderson. Prior to his retirement, Jack had served with the Canadian Armed Forces for 33 years, which he entered as a Weapons Tech. Beginning in Kingston, ON with the Black Watch, from there serving as a Artillerymen in various cities across Canada, finally retiring from Long Point, Montréal. During his career with the Armed Forces, he served in many operations including the October Crisis in 1970. He was an avid fisherman who loved building bird houses and wood crafts from his workshop and spending time with his granddaughter, Katrina who assisted him. He also enjoyed taking drives with his family in the country as he enjoyed nature. By John's request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 2 pm from St. Mark's Anglican Church, St. George, NB with Rev. Mary Ann Langmaid officiating. In John's memory donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
