STEEVES, RUTH E. - Ruth Elizabeth Steeves, 84, of Moncton passed away suddenly at her residence on Thursday, November 27, 2008. Born May 2, 1924 in Hillsborough, she was the daughter of the late Atsel and Sarah Elizabeth (Melvin) Steeves. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Deborah Steeves-Wallace of Saint John and Lynn Redlick (Richard) of DeWinton, Alberta; four grandchildren, Amber, Ryan and Jared of Calgary and Mark of Saint John; a sister, Lena Young of Vernon, BC; many nieces and nephews. Ruth lived, worked and raised her family in Ontario before returning to Moncton and will be remembered for her love for family and her example of strength and determination as she passed through life's challenges. A memorial service will be held at 1st Hillsborough Baptist Church, 2807 Main Street, Hillsborough on Wednesday, December 3 at 2pm, Rev. Dean MacDonald officiating. Interment will be in Hillsborough.
